GPS modules

Make your own GPS receiver

Here is a selection of GPS modules. All our modules are tested before shipping and we also have experience in programming microcontrollers of the TI MSP430 series to access these modules. We can therefore help you in your developments.
When buying either of these modules together with a development board, you will get a full working demo software showing the current lattitude and longitude on the LCD.

Bare GPS module
Having no antenna, this module is very thin and can be used in systems with dimension constraints or in places where the module itself cannot receive signals (e.g. vehicule). It has threfore to be used with an antenna, and you may want to buy a GPS pad antenna.

GPS module with patch antenna
This is a compact and affordable GPS module. Its outline size is 26.5 x 26.5 mm and its thickness is 8.5 mm approximately. It communicates by UART at 9600 bps, default rate. This default rate can be changed using module's protocol.

Low-profile GPS module
This module has basically the same characterstics as PW-GPS-06 and 06P, but its patch antenna has a slightly better gain and is it 2 mm thinner.

Pad antenna
This is a GPS antenna that can be used with either of our modules. If the module has already an antenna, it will choose whatever signal is stronger.
