Graphic LCD modules

Add graphics capability to your microcontroller

Here is a selection of low-power COG (Chip on glass) and TFT LCDs that ideally fit portable designs. There are adaptor boards for some of them, allowing to use them with 2.54 mm pitch universal PCB.
The unit price is given for samples only. If you ned larger quantities, please contact us.

TFT color display 480 x 272 with touch panel
This LCD is one exception in our lineup since it is not a sub-milliamp display. It is a full color (24-bit) TFT display with a touch panel, which makes it a good candidate for many applications such as games, measurement instruments. Careful: there is no internal DRAM chip, which means that you have to constantly refresh the data,

PW240320TFT-TP Color LCD with touch panel
This LCD comes from the telephone world. Its advantages are a touch panel and a great resolution (240 x 320). It also includes a driver chip with internal memory thanks to which the access is greatly simplified.
The source code includes performing simple graphics and writing text.
For convenience, this screen is mounted on a small PCB with 1.27 or 2.54 pin header capability. This board also includes a FET transistor for switching backlight on and off.
Careful: there is no code yet for the touch panel access, but the following page explains with great detail how to operate a resistive touch screen.

PW128160CSTN Color LCD
This small color LCD comes from earlier cellular phones. The resolution (128 x 160) allows to display small images, and also some colored text. In 8x5 font resolution, a maximum of 20 lines of 21 characters, which makes it a good choice for small hand-held applications. Its brightness makes it readable also in daylight. For convenience, this screen is mounted on a small PCB with 1.27 or 2.54 pin header capability. This board also implements a voltage converter for the backlight's LEDs so that the whole screen can be powered with a single source.

240x160, 5-bit grayscale LCD module with backlight
This LCD is a complete solution with LED backlight. It can be powered with a single voltage (3 ~ 3.3V), backlight included. Its controller implements a windowing system allowing to define the area to be modified, therefore eliminating the need of moving the cursor and allowing to send data bytes without further care. The data transmission is 8-bit parallel, 1 byte per pixel. It can also be used in 16-bit parallel, 2 bytes for 3 pixels. An interface board (2.54mm pitch) is under development.

Grayscale 160x128 LCD
This LCD has a very good definition which allows to display pictures without dithering. It has a great palette of configuration capabilities (windowing), and can be accessed in parallel or SPI modes (4-wire, 3-wire).
An interface board (2.54mm pitch) is under development.

Grayscale 128x112 LCD
This LCD has a 4-level grayscale capability which makes it attractive for better graphics. Note that this one has a backlighting capability (click image for detail). Photographs can also be displayed using dithering. Careful: this one is sold with its FPC connector but we do not provide an adaptation board. Data access in parallel mode only.

SPI 101x64 LCD module
This LCD is an extremely low power consumption device. It draws 250 µA only and is therefore recommended for portable devices.
For your convenience, it is delivered with an adaptor board allowing to use it with 2.54mm pitched development boards.
If you need larger volumes, we can of course sell it separately or with its connector.

Small graphic display 128 x 32 (SPI / Parallel)
This LCD is an extremely low power consumption device. It draws 200 µA only and is therefore recommended for portable devices.
It is one of the smallest graphic displays on the market, and can be fit into a wrist watch.
